Superintendent/Cleaner - Woodstock, Ontario
Full-time Superintendent/cleaner is required to take over the day-to-day operations. The Superintendent/cleaner will be our client’s customer service ambassador and be responsible to take care of the needs of the Residents located at Woodstock
Key Responsibilities Duties Include but not limited to:
- Perform routine inspections of the building and grounds.
- Carry out minor repairs (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, etc.).
- Monitor and maintain mechanical systems, including boilers, elevators, and fire alarms.
- Coordinate with external contractors for major repairs and specialised maintenance.
- Maintain accurate logs of maintenance requests and completed work.
- Complete monthly fire inspections.
Cleaning & Sanitation
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and clean common areas such as hallways, lobbies and stairwells.
- Ensure that waste disposal and recycling bins are properly used.
- Snow removal and salting of walkways during winter months.
- Maintain cleanliness and order in storage and maintenance areas.
Resident & Vendor Relations
- Respond promptly to resident maintenance requests and emergencies.
- Provide excellent customer service to residents and owners.
- Oversee vendors and ensure work is completed to standards.
General Duties
- Maintain inventory of cleaning and maintenance supplies.
- Ensure building complies with safety and health regulations.
- Perform move-in/move-out inspections.
- Be on call for emergencies as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Proven experience in building maintenance or as a superintendent preferred.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing and electrical.
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment and perform physical labour.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and respond to emergencies.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
Compensation $40,000 – $48,000, commensurate with experience
