Position: Senior Java Engineer (Architect / Technical Lead) – Agentic AI
Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid – 3 days/week onsite) Duration: 6-month contract (extension possible up to 1 year) OR Full-time (FTE)
Role Overview
We are looking for highly experienced, hands-on Senior Java Engineers (Architects/Technical Leads) to join an innovation-focused team on Agentic AI initiatives.
Key Responsibilities & Focus Areas
- Architect, design, and deliver end-to-end backend microservices supporting Agentic AI applications.
- Design AI agent workflows, skills, and integrated AI-assisted software development tools.
- Utilize GitHub Copilot, Claude, and generative AI platforms to streamline development processes.
- Work independently in ambiguous environments, leading technical design and system architecture decisions.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- 8+ years of hands-on Java backend development experience.
- Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices.
- Proven experience in software design, architecture, and end-to-end implementation.
- Hands-on experience with GitHub Copilot and/or Claude as part of the software development lifecycle.
- Good understanding of AI/ML concepts, Agentic AI, AI agents, workflows, or AI-powered coding tools.
- Strong system design and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
