YOUR ROLE You’ll play a key role in supporting Hutterite colonies and independent producers with their livestock feed needs — providing trusted advice, practical solutions, and ongoing support.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working directly with farmers , solving challenges in the barn, and developing long-term partnerships.
What You’ll Do Travel & Relationship Building
- Visit Hutterite colonies regularly to understand and address livestock feed needs.
- Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with producers.
- Provide support and technical advice for livestock management, feed selection, and barn performance.
Sales & Strategy
- Develop and implement sales strategies in collaboration with the regional management team.
- Identify opportunities to expand market presence and grow your customer base.
- Manage marketing budgets and report on promotional activities.
Problem Solving & Support
- Troubleshoot barn issues (e.g., ventilation, feeding systems) and recommend practical solutions.
- Advise on feed programs that enhance animal health, productivity, and profitability.
What You Bring
- Experience in agricultural sales — ideally livestock feed or related fields.
- Strong understanding of livestock nutrition and barn management.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel regularly across southern Manitoba.
- Previous experience working with Hutterite colonies is a strong asset.
