What This Role Is All About

The Director, Leasing and Resident Experience plays a pivotal role in delivering on that promise. You’ll lead our leasing team and champion resident experience across our growing multifamily portfolio, ensuring strategies, service programs, and technology align with business goals to maximize occupancy, revenue, and satisfaction. This is a leadership role for someone who thrives on collaboration, data-driven decision-making, and creating homes people love.

What You’ll Be Doing

Leasing and Operations Strategy

  • Drive leasing performance across Chard’s rental communities to meet occupancy and revenue targets, aligned with approved business plans.
  • Analyze leasing trends and recommend strategies to improve conversion, optimize pricing, and boost retention.
  • Provide insights to shape marketing and revenue strategies; monitor competitive positioning to maintain market strength.
  • Prepare and present leasing performance reports for lease-up and stabilized assets, with actionable recommendations.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to develop annual leasing budgets and forecasts.
  • Team Leadership and Training
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing leasing team.
  • Partner with People & Culture to design and deliver training programs focused on sales, compliance, technology, and customer experience excellence.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and implement improvement plans where needed.

Customer Experience

  • Oversee resident experience programs, communications, and initiatives that enhance leasing performance, customer satisfaction, and resident retention.
  • Monitor customer feedback through surveys and implement process improvements and targeted training where necessary.
  • Collaborate with on-site teams to create community engagement initiatives and events for both prospects and residents.

Technology & Systems Management

  • Optimize property management and CRM systems to streamline workflows and enhance efficiency.
  • Drive adoption of technology tools; provide training and support for updates and best practices.
  • Leverage analytics to track performance, forecast trends, and inform strategic decisions.
  • Develop dashboards for real-time visibility into leasing and resident experience metrics.

What You’ll Bring

  • 5+ years of experience in multifamily Property Management and Leasing, with at least 2 years in a leadership role where you demonstrated success managing multiple properties and leading teams through lease-up and stabilized operations.
  • Proven track record in leasing strategy, team management, and customer experience
  • with the ability to design and implement effective leasing plans, motivate teams, and deliver exceptional resident satisfaction.
  • Multifamily lease-up experience preferred and familiarity with the unique challenges and timelines of new property launches and occupancy ramp-up.
  • Strong knowledge of property management software and CRM systems; Yardi experience is required. Particularly with skills in leveraging technology to streamline processes, analyze performance, and support data-driven decisions.

The salary range for this role is between $150,000-$175,000 per year based on candidate experience.
