Starting base salary*****CAD$90,000 –110,000
Plus Bonus, Equity & Benefits

The Senior Database Administrator works closely with the Development, Application Support & SRE team to monitor, troubleshoot, and recover issues that may arise with the database systems. Maintaining industry best practices, the Senior Database Administrator ensures tasks are executed in a precise and timely manner.
What you will be doing
- Be responsible for daily database operations.
- Helps the triage the incidents in the DBA standups and with other IT Operations teams.
- Promote training & knowledge sharing by creating runbooks and procedures.
- Be responsible for maintenance, patching, upgrading and monitoring of the database environment.
What you will bring to the role
- Hands on experience with Relational and Non-Relational Databases.
- Experience managing enterprise level high-availability, Fault tolerant DB instances.
- Familiarity in managing Database as Service and Infrastructure as code.
- Experience with backups, restores and recovery models
- Performance Tuning / Data Access Optimization
- Hands on experience with TSQL & scripting languages.
- Understanding on DB Functions, Stored Procedures, System views etc.
- Knowledge of indexes, index maintenance and statistics
- Working knowledge on a multi-cloud environment.
- Eagerness to grow and develop skill set
