DIETARY PLANNERS – Permanent, Full-Time Jack Chambers Children’s Centre Commencing September 2025 6 hours / day Monday - Friday 7:30 am - 2:00 pm

We are currently recruiting for a Dietary Planner to become part of our talented and committed Child Care teams. Enjoy your love of cooking and being part of a team; with no weekends and evening hours.

Qualifications:

  • Safe Food Handling Certification
  • Understanding of Canada’s Food Guide
  • Minimum two years’ experience in food preparation for children from 18 months to 12 years of age
  • Standard First Aid with CPR for Infant and Child – Level C
  • Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check (6 months current)

The person we are looking for:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work creatively within a set budget
  • Ability to work effectively as a team member
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills

Position responsibilities:

  • To plan well balanced menus on a rotational basis
  • To purchase food supplies to meet the needs of the menus
  • To maintain accurate purchasing records
  • To prepare and serve nutritious and delicious meals and snacks, accommodating dietary restrictions as required
  • To maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment at all times
  • To liaise with Dietary Planners in other Children’s Centres within LCC
  • To work as part of a larger Children’s Centre Team, assistants and supply staff
  • To maintain professionalism, confidentiality and courtesy at all times
