Engineering Technologist II

The District of Kent, located in the picturesque Eastern Fraser Valley, is offering an exciting opportunity in our Engineering Services Department for an Engineering Technologist II.

This key role assists management in achieving efficient operation of the Engineering Services Department. The incumbent will be accountable to the Director of Engineering Services and responsible for all technical work related to the tasks assigned.

The incumbent will be required to perform complex duties in accordance with well-defined project objectives, engineering practices, and District policies.

Overseeing the District’s Asset Management Program is a key function of this role. Candidates are encouraged to showcase their experience in developing and maintaining successful asset management programs in their application.

Further duties performed by the Engineering Technologist II are outlined in the job description. The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A post-secondary degree or diploma in Civil Engineering.

  • A minimum of 3 years of progressive work experience in a municipal engineering, environment, or recognized equivalent training and experience in an engineering environment.

Pay and benefits for this CUPE Local 458 bargaining unit position is in accordance with the Collective Agreement. The 2025 post-probationary wage rate for this position is $51.80 per hour plus a comprehensive benefit package.
