About the role

Job Opportunity:

Production Summer Students working in our manufacturing facility are the key to ensuring quality cardboard boxes are produced for our customers. Working as a team, you will ensure production targets are met and that you and your co-workers are working safely. Daily tasks included pushing, pulling, lifting, moving, stacking cardboard through various machines.

The ideal candidate will be flexible, dependable, committed to working safely, have a strong work ethic, quality conscience, able to work 12-hour shifts, and have the desire & ability to work in a fast paced, non-air-conditioned environment.

What you will be doing:

  • Perform quality checks on finished products
  • Inspects packaging and product for damage
  • Put labels on pales
  • Aware and practices a safe work-environment at all times
  • Maintains work areas by keeping it clean and organized
  • Follows a schedule shift
  • Other duties related to the job

Requirements:

  • Students are required to provide vacation relief on our manufacturing floor from May to end of August.
  • Must be physically fit, able to do repetitive work and able to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Must be able to feed corrugated stock into our machines or pack boxes.
  • Ability to work safely and diligently; safety, quality and attendance are key components of the job.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Enrolled in a post-secondary education
  • Able to work rotating 12-hour shifts
