Software Developer in Test (Pipeline Role)
About the role
The Software Developer in Test (SDET) is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining high-quality software applications while ensuring their reliability through robust testing practices. This role combines software development with quality engineering, enabling close collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, efficient, and thoroughly tested solutions that meet organizational and client needs.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code according to established standards and best practices.
- Participating in the full software development lifecycle: requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
- Conducting unit testing and debugging to ensure software quality and reliability.
- Creating and maintaining technical documentation, including system design and API documentation.
- Developing and executing test plans, test cases, and automation scripts to validate functionality, performance, and scalability of applications.
- Identifying, documenting, and tracking defects, ensuring timely resolution with development teams.
- Performing both manual and automated testing as necessary, leveraging appropriate tools and frameworks.
- Analyzing test results and providing clear feedback to stakeholders on product quality.
- Continuously evaluating and improving testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Working closely with engineers, product managers, and designers to ensure product requirements are met with proper test coverage.
- Staying updated on emerging technologies, frameworks, and best practices in both software development and software testing.
Qualifications:
- University Degree in Computer Science or related program and/or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in software development, software testing/quality assurance, or a combined role. (C# or Node js)
- Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, automation frameworks, and QA processes.
- Proficiency in programming languages (C# or Node js), frameworks, and tools relevant to the role.
- Solid problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across teams.
