What We’re Looking For

We are currently seeking a highly motivatedSenior Account Managerto join ourAccount Managementteam!

The Senior Account Manager will serve as the primary contact for a diverse portfolio of commercial clients across retail, professional services, manufacturing, pharma, and finance. In this role, you’ll be responsible for fostering long-term client relationships, delivering high-value marketing and digital solutions, and driving year-over-year growth within existing client accounts.

You willlead strategic engagementsthat position Northern as a trusted advisor to our clients,leveraging tacticssuch asthought leadership, executive engagement, annual and quarterly business reviews, and cross-functional collaborationto identify and**unlock new opportunities.**This role carries quarterly sales targets focused on expanding existing client relationships through strategic initiatives, solution expansion, and partner collaboration.

You will also play a key role in onboarding new clients, leading strategic proposals and presentations, and supporting cross-functional collaboration with PMO, Delivery, and Sales teams at Northern.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Function as thecommercial lead and strategic partner, responsible fordriving the client’s long-term roadmap,identifying growth opportunities, and leading negotiations. -Own the growth strategyfor assigned accounts, focusing on year-over-yearrevenue expansion through strategic initiatives, new solution adoption, and expanded service engagements.

  • Strengthen client relationships byproactively identifying, qualifying, and converting new growth opportunitieswithin existing accounts. -Build strong relationshipswith executive stakeholders and key decision-makers, positioning Northern as a trusted strategic advisor.

  • Leadclient onboarding, ensuring budget approvals and seamless integration into agency workflows. -Prepare and deliver tailored proposals, SOWs, and pitch presentationsthat align client needs with agency capabilities. -Conduct Quarterly and Annual Business Reviews(QBRs/ABRs) toevaluate performance, share strategic insights, and identify opportunitiesfor further collaboration and account growth. -Drive organic growthbyupselling agency services, expanding client engagements, and collaborating with sales to meet quarterly revenue targets. -Develop strategic engagement plansfor key accounts, incorporating thought leadership, roadmap planning, and industry insights to deepen partnerships.

  • Collaborate with internal partners and external alliances to introduce new solutions and capabilities that support client goals. -Provide subject matter expertiseon large-scale or complex projects,advocating for best-fit solutionsand guiding clients through technical decisions. -Support RFP processesby shaping solutions, contributing to short-list presentations, and leading persuasive pitches. -Partner with business development on pre-sales initiatives, contributing to client education, workflow scoping, and solution positioning.

  • Foster a collaborative, positive team environment by mentoring colleagues, sharing insights, and supporting agency-wide success.

What You'll Bring

-6+ years of experience in consultative sales, business development, or revenue-focused account managementwithin an integrated marketing, digital, or creative agency.

  • Demonstratedsuccess growing existing client relationshipsand achieving revenue or sales targets throughstrategic account management.
  • Post-secondary education in marketing, communications, advertising, public relations, or business. -Strong background managing professional client relationships across commercial sectorssuch as retail, professional services, manufacturing, pharma, or finance. -**Experience leading strategic account planning,**executive stakeholder engagement, and QBR/ABR presentations.
  • Proficiency in GSuite; experience with project management tools is an asset.
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects, budgets, and client expectations while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
  • Familiarity with digital platforms such as**Adobe Experience Manager/Adobe Commerce,**Salesforce, Drupal, or WordPress.
  • Experience delivering and supporting digital marketing & analytic solutions that drive measurable business results.
  • Demonstrated experience leading persuasive pitch presentations, contract negotiations, and RFP responses, with a proven track record of shaping and closing complex solutions.
  • Demonstrated accountability for achieving or exceeding assigned revenue or sales targets.
  • Excellent relationship management skills with the ability to listen, empathize, and communicate clearly.
  • Ability to travel within North America; valid passport required.

Compensation

This role has a target salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 CAD, with final compensation determined based on a number of factors, including but not limited to relevant skills and experience, depth of role-related expertise, years of directly applicable experience, internal equity, and market alignment for the role. Compensation decisions also consider the scope and complexity of the position and are made in a manner consistent with our pay practices. In addition to base salary, we offer a comprehensive total rewards package, which may include health & dental benefits, RRSP matching, Profit Sharing, and many additional perks.
