About the role

Precision Resource Canada, located in Cambridge, ON, is seeking a mechanically inclined individual with at least one year of experience in the manufacturing industry to join our dynamic team! If you are looking for an exciting opportunity within the manufacturing industry, this position is for you!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Must be able to operate presses
  • Applies safe workplace practices in material handling and machine operation.
  • Attention to detail is essential with regard to quality standards and paperwork procedures.
  • Excellent understanding of measurement and applications in the use of both metric and imperial measurement tools
  • Experience in measuring tight tolerances
  • Experience in loading/unloading of uncoiler
  • Communicate to Supervisor any problem areas, deficiencies, and quality issues.
  • Keep work area clean and tidy and work in an organized manner.
  • Accurate recording of time including time-clock, job activities, and other data entry.
  • Regular and punctual attendance at work.

Education and Experience

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment operating press or equivalent
  • Completion of high school diploma or attainment of an equivalent degree (GED)
  • Must have basic mechanical, measurement, and computer skills.
  • Must have good written and verbal communication skills in English
