Fortinet Network Expert – Network Redesign & Migration Support: On behalf of our Technology client, Procom is searching for a Fortinet Network Expert – Network Redesign & Migration Support for a 4 month contract role. This position is onsite at our client’s Montréal office.

Fortinet Network Expert – Network Redesign & Migration Support - Job Description: The project involves the redesign and migration of the client's network infrastructure, focusing on Fortinet-based solutions. The role requires rebuilding and configuring network systems to align with new architecture plans, ensuring seamless migration and stabilization.

Fortinet Network Expert – Network Redesign & Migration Support - Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Softchoice design team to understand the new network architecture and implementation plan.
• Rebuild and configure Fortinet-based network infrastructure according to the approved target design.
• Work closely with ISPs to debug and stabilize internet uplinks at the new physical location.
• Perform cabling, patching, and hardware setup as required to support the new network environment.
• Ensure correct configuration of firewalls, switches, and other network components in line with the architecture.
• Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting during and immediately after the migration.
• Conduct stabilization and performance tuning of the network and associated components.
• Deliver knowledge transfer and documentation to the organization’s permanent IT staff to ensure smooth long-term operations.

Fortinet Network Expert – Network Redesign & Migration Support - Mandatory Skills:

• Fluency in English; French proficiency is an asset.
• Deep hands-on experience with Fortinet firewall and network configurations.
• Strong troubleshooting skills, particularly with internet uplinks and ISP coordination.
• Familiarity with network cabling, patching, and physical setup.
• Prior involvement in network redesigns, migrations, or data center moves.
• Solid understanding of enterprise network security and best practices.

Fortinet Network Expert – Network Redesign & Migration Support – Nice-to-Have Skills:

• French proficiency.
• Experience with additional network security solutions.
• Previous work with large-scale enterprise environments.
• Experience in knowledge transfer and documentation.
• Familiarity with Telefilm or similar industry environments.

Fortinet Network Expert – Network Redesign & Migration Support – Assignment Length: This is a 4 month contract position.
