Corporate Communications Administrative Coordinator
The Town of Osoyoos (Town) seeks an experienced communications administrator to join the Osoyoos team as the Corporate Communications Administrative Coordinator. Located in the southernmost area of the Okanagan Valley, the Town has a growing population of approximately 6,000. Osoyoos is a resort municipality renowned for its stunning desert landscapes, water- based activities, orchards, vineyards, and golf courses. Outdoor recreational opportunities throughout the area include alpine and cross- country skiing and endless walking and recreation vehicle trails that can be enjoyed all year. The Corporate Communications Administrative Coordinator is responsible for providing internal and external communications administrative support to the organization. The position assists in the production and publication of a broad range of digital media. The role requires a high degree of accuracy, excellent communication skills, and a collaborative approach to working with internal departments, external stakeholders, and the public.
The position works with departmental Directors and staff to assist in the development, production, distribution and publishing of internal and external communications, such as resident notifications, media releases, advertising, public notices, Council updates, briefing notes, web copy, speaking notes, presentations, reports, brochures, promotional materials, and internal communications. The preferred candidate will possess excellent communication and time-management skills and will have a proven strong work ethic. Additionally, candidates must have:

High school graduation (Grade 12), preferably supplemented by post-secondary education in communications, public relations, marketing, office administration, or a related field.

Minimum of two (2) years of administrative and/or communications support experience, preferably in a local government or public sector environment.

Experience in interpreting agreements, complex reports, official records, legislation, bylaws, policies and related materials.

A high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Experience using website content management systems, social media management tools, and graphic design software such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite is considered an asset.
This exempt position has a salary range of $68,097 to $80,114 (2025) and offers a competitive benefits package.
