Company Description Mennonite Community Services of Southern Ontario (MCS) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving and supporting individuals and families in the Aylmer area and surrounding communities. Role Description The Business Director is a full-time, on-site role based in Aylmer, ON, responsible for overseeing the business operations and strategic direction of Mennonite Community Services of Southern Ontario. This role includes developing and implementing business plans, managing budgets, and monitoring organizational performance to ensure sustainability and effective use of resources. The Business Director leads and supports teams, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance management to align staff efforts with organizational goals. Day-to-day duties involve analyzing program and financial data, identifying opportunities for service and revenue growth, and collaborating with senior leadership and community partners on strategic initiatives. The role also includes responsibility for sales and revenue-generating activities related to social enterprises or fee-based services, as well as ensuring compliance with policies, regulations, and funding requirements. Qualifications Strong Analytical Skills to interpret financial, operational, and program data and support evidence-based decision making. Proficiency in Business Planning, including budgeting, forecasting, and strategic development for nonprofit or community-focused organizations. Demonstrated Team Management and Team Leadership abilities, with experience supervising staff, fostering collaboration, and supporting professional growth. Experience with Sales or revenue-generating activities, ideally in a social enterprise, nonprofit, or service-oriented environment. Post-secondary education in business administration, management, finance, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse communities and stakeholders. Knowledge of nonprofit governance, funding structures, and regulatory requirements is an asset. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects, and adapt to changing needs.
