Senior Civil Engineer (Municipal)

Location: Toronto, ON | Full-time | In-office

We are hiring a Senior Civil Engineer to lead civil design and project delivery for institutional, healthcare, commercial, and industrial projects across the GTHA. This role includes technical leadership, project management, and business development responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead civil engineering projects from concept through construction
• Design watermain, sanitary, stormwater, and grading systems
• Prepare stormwater management reports for site plan approvals
• Conduct culvert studies; municipal road/highway design is an asset
• Manage site plan applications and coordinate with municipal staff
• Coordinate with architects, planners, surveyors, and engineering disciplines
• Manage sub-consultants, budgets, schedules, and project staffing
• Oversee construction administration and project closeout
• Ensure compliance with quality management systems
• Support hiring, training, and mentoring of civil engineering staff
• Participate in business development and client relationship management

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
• P.Eng. designation in Ontario (required)
• Minimum 5 years of consulting or municipal civil engineering experience in Ontario
• Strong background in site servicing, stormwater, grading, and road design
• Experience with Civil 3D, SWMHYMO, Excel, and MS Office
• PMP designation is an asset
• Proven leadership and project management skills
• Strong communication and client-facing experience
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally
