The Junior Research Coordinator plays a key role in facilitating applied research and providing support to a wide range of clinical research projects from start to finish. Working under the guidance of the principal investigator or designate, the Coordinator supports research teams through project planning, grant preparation, ethics submissions, data collection both in-person and remote, and results dissemination. This role is well-suited to someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and brings strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills to support meaningful research partnerships and knowledge exchange.

Education & Experience

Bachelors degree required; degree in Health Sciences or a related field preferred Minimum of two (2) years of research-related experience in a health care environment Experience working in research projects and/or Health Canada regulated clinical trials in a clinical setting preferred Clinical research certificates such as Health Canada Division 5, GCP, and TCPS 2: CORE considered an asset Certification in clinical trial coordination (e.g. Society of Clinical Research Associates (SOCRA) and project management certification would be an asset Interest and/or experience in psychedelic research or mental health research considered an asset

Position Duties & Responsibilities

Assists with the planning, recruitment, and coordination of research projects and various research-related outreach initiatives Organizing, scheduling, and running assessments Facilitates research ethics board applications, amendments, budgets, and maintains records of research activities Supports the dissemination of research findings through the preparation of reports, consultation with various collaborators, and preparation of materials for presentation and publication in appropriate forums Coordinates data collection, data entry, and analysis in support of research activities. This includes the maintenance and documentation of data on various instruments (e.g., REDCap)
