Hours: Monday to Friday (0800 - 1600)
Pay Rate: $19.30 - $19.88 / an hour

Job Description:

Provide break relief to staff at designated terminals
-
Provide vehicular and pedestrian traffic direction and control on the groundside area of the Airport by facilitating the movement of vehicular traffic
-
Direct or control movement of vehicles at specific locations
-
Comfortable working independently and working outside in all weather conditions
-
Direct commercial and public vehicles along their respective traffic lanes
-
Ensure the safe, orderly and efficient movement of vehicles and pedestrians on the Airport's terminal curbs and roadway surfaces
-
Institute regular patrols at various times each day in these areas and others, direct both vehicle and pedestrian traffic, and provide the public with relevant information concerning vehicle parking, stopping, and the loading and unloading of vehicles in a courteous and consistent manner

Ensure the separation of vehicles and pedestrians by controlling crosswalks, lane separations, areas designated by the GTAA from time to time

Anticipate and address areas of vehicular or pedestrian congestions and attempt to relieve the congestion and/or ensure vehicles or pedestrians move in a safe, secure, orderly and efficient manner

Ensure work areas are clear of obstacles including baggage carts in order to maintain a safe environment
NOTE: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. Employee may perform other related duties as negotiated to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.
Prerequisites:
- Valid Security License for the province of Ontario
- Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C (from a WSIB-approved vendor)
- English (oral and written) fluency is a must
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field preferred.
- Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB)
- Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's UoF/MOAB certification program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position
- Please be aware: The UoF/MOAB Certification is not paid as it is a pre-requisite; however, Paladin will cover all of the costs of the training with a 6-month commitment to the position/availability
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
- Must be comfortable working outdoors and independently
