National Account Manager - Food Service
About the role
Job Description We are currently seeking a National Account Manager to join our team. This role will be responsible for managing strategic national accounts and driving growth in our Home Meal Replacement (HMR) category. The successful candidate will work collaboratively across functions to deliver sustainable business results aligned with our corporate values and strategic objectives.
Location of Work: This is a home-based position located in the Ottawa or Montreal area

Responsibilities
- Manage the overall performance and development of Cavendish Farms foodservice products within assigned accounts: Sobeys, Metro, and Costco.
- Act as the primary point of contact for the customer relationship, ensuring alignment and bringing in resources as needed to support business objectives.
- Develop and execute strategic growth plans for the HMR (Home Meal Replacement) category, achieving mutually beneficial outcomes for Cavendish Farms and our customers.
- Meet regularly with customers to review business performance, identify opportunities, and negotiate distribution, pricing, and promotional programs within approved parameters.
- Analyze customer and category data to identify trends and opportunities; collaborate with Marketing and Category Management to develop fact-based recommendations.
- Manage financial performance for assigned accounts, including trade investment, profitability, and key financial metrics
- Own forecasting and demand planning for assigned accounts.
- Participate in joint business planning processes with key accounts.
Qualifications
- Bilingual (French & English) – required.
- Post-secondary education in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred
- 5 years of account management experience with grocery retailers; foodservice exposure an asset
- Experience in the Home Meal Replacement (HMR) or prepared foods category is considered an asset.
- Proven success managing large or strategic accounts.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to analyze data and make strategic decisions.
