How your role will bring the vision to life:

At Snackish, finance isn't a back-office function- it's a strategic engine. As our Accounting Associate, you'll be the operational backbone of our day-to-day accounting, owning accounts receivable and supporting the broader finance team across accounts payable and month-end close. You'll work closely with our CFO to build the processes and discipline that will scale with us as we grow.

Own and manage the full accounts receivable cycle — invoicing, collections, cash application, and reconciliation — with a focus on accuracy and speed Monitor the AR aging report and proactively follow up on outstanding balances to keep cash flow healthy and on track Build and maintain strong relationships with retail partners, distributors, and vendors to resolve billing issues and payment discrepancies quickly Support accounts payable processing — coding invoices, preparing payments, and ensuring vendor accounts stay current and accurate Assist with month-end close activities including journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules Help maintain the integrity of our general ledger by identifying and flagging discrepancies early Support ad hoc reporting, analysis, and finance projects as the team and business grow

What success looks like:

AR is consistently clean - invoices go out on time, collections are proactively managed, and aging stays tight. Month-end close runs smoothly and on schedule, with accurate, well-documented reconciliations AP is processed accurately with no dropped balls — vendors are paid on time and the team can trust the numbers You're building the accounting foundation that scales with Snackish from launch through our next phase of growth

We're looking for an incredible human who:

Has 1–3 years of accounting experience, with hands-on exposure to AR (AP and month-end close experience is a big plus) Is detail-obsessed — you catch the small stuff before it becomes a big deal Is comfortable working in a fast-moving, early-stage environment where processes are still being built and you help shape them Has working knowledge of accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar) and is fluent in Excel/Google Sheets Communicates clearly and professionally — with internal teams and external partners alike Is a self-starter who can manage their own workload, flag issues proactively, and follow through without being asked twice Gets Snackish — the voice, the vibe, the community we're building — and shows up every day ready to make the numbers match the momentum
