The Condominium Authority of Ontario (CAO) is a dynamic, digital organization that supports the province's rapidly evolving condominium sector with information, education and dispute resolution services.

The CAO is a delegated administrative authority that supports condo living and enhances consumer protection by providing services and resources that reach all condo communities across Ontario. We are accountable to the government through and Administrative Agreement with the Minister of Public and Business Service Delivery and Procurement. The seven-member board of directors provide strategic guidance and oversight of the organization.

We value flexibility and have adopted a hybrid work model whereby employees use a combination of working remotely 2 days a week and in the office for 3 days.

Role Purpose The successful candidate will work closely with communications and policy colleagues to create impactful paid & owned social media content and manage CAO’s presence at industry events. They should demonstrate creativity, attention to detail, strong project management skills and responsiveness. They should also be passionate about researching, copywriting, design thinking and innovation.

This role is a fixed-term 12-month contract.

What You’ll Do Social Media and Digital Marketing – 70%

  • Develop strategies for shared social and paid digital ad content, including by reviewing analytics, what’s in the news as well as what is trending, and making data-driven recommendations.
  • Execute on proposed strategies by creating monthly content calendars including by writing copy, filming videos that hop on trends, and designing visuals through Canva.
  • Monitor CAO’s social accounts and lead community management by distilling technical information into digestible responses.
  • Bring fresh, creative ideas on how we can engage our audiences.
  • Make data driven recommendations for which organic posts to boost.
  • Create content for ad campaigns as necessary.
  • Manage budgets, tactics and audiences for ad content.
  • Video editing, graphic design and front-of-camera experience necessary.

Events – 20%

  • Execute CAO’s external event strategy by coordinating conference participation, booths set up and attendance, staff logistics, sponsorships, swag orders.
  • Liaise with stakeholders to organize through leadership and presentation opportunities for CAO executives at sector events.
  • Assist in creating compelling power point presentations and external graphic assets to support CAO executives.
  • Support CAO’s internal event offering for employees and stakeholders by providing logistical support as needed.

Other – 10%

  • Assist with additional print and digital materials as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What You Bring To The Team

  • University degree or diploma in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Three to five of years working in a related field.
  • Exceptional editing and writing skills.
  • Comfort working with a written and visual style guide.
  • Demonstrated time management skills.
  • Ability to work individually as well as part of a team.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office, Canva, Hootsuite and other content management tools.
  • Bilingual (English/French) an asset.
  • Adobe Illustrator/InDesign an asset.

Working conditions/Environment

CAO values in-person collaboration and we observe a hybrid working model and only those interested and comfortable in collaborating in person 3 days a week (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays) need apply.
