This Summer Internship offers a launchpad like no other. You’ll be supported by experienced professionals and exposed to our innovative digital Deals tools. From early May through mid-August 2026, you’ll dive into real client work, learning how businesses operate and how trust is built through deals services. You’ll be guided through the deals process by experienced professionals and gain exposure to our market-leading digital tools. You’ll benefit from a rich internship experience that includes meetings with firm leadership, interactive lunch and learns, skill-building workshops, client visits, and opportunities to participate in volunteer and social events.

Purpose-led work you’ll be part of: As a Performance and Restructuring Intern you will be an integral member of project teams executing advisory & restructuring mandates while you develop your technical skills to support your career development in the advisory and restructuring practice. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Supporting business development activities to help the team source new mandates
- Helping develop and implement turnaround plans or realization plans with the goal of maximizing recoveries to stakeholders
- Conducting financial analysis
- Developing financial and cash flow forecasts including the development of detailed models and conducting sensitivity analysis
- Applying your business acumen to develop or assess business plans to support turnaround plans
- Supporting project teams as they work with additional advisors to integrate tax, regulatory and other legal considerations to the development of turnaround or realization plans
- Supporting the execution of distressed M&A or refinancing activities
- Assisting in the preparation of high-quality presentations and/or reports for key stakeholders
- Supporting a project team’s management of stakeholders
- Supporting the project team as it runs in-Court and out of Court restructuring or realization processes
- Developing your technical skills by enrolling in the courses offered by the Canadian Associate of Insolvency and Restructuring Professionals (CAIRP) to obtain your CIRP designation and eventually a license to act as a Licensed Insolvency Trustee issued by the Office of the Superintendent of Bankruptcy.
Experiences and Skills You’ll Use to Solve problems and execute mandates:
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree with a preference that it include a focus on finance and accounting disciplines;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to articulate new ideas
- Ability to easily adapt and prioritize, demonstrating project management skills to handle changing priorities
- Highly detail oriented with excellent organizational and analytical skills; an ability to think broadly and to ask questions about data, facts and other information to deliver quality to our clients
- Experience using the Microsoft suite of software and in the development of well organized worksheets reflecting financial analysis work
- An interest in upskilling for a digital world and technology trends, an openness to learning new tools and adapting how you work
- A demonstrated commitment to valuing differences and working alongside diverse people and perspectives
- An interest in sharing and collaborating effectively with others and building relationships which are genuine and rooted in trust
- Examples of alignment with PwC Values: Acting with Integrity, Working Together, Care, Reimagine the Possible and Make a Difference
- You’ll be comfortable travelling to cities across Canada (when deemed safe to do so by applicable public health or regulatory authorities and PwC)
- This role requires that you are legally entitled to work for PwC in Canada for the intended duration of the offer/contract.
- We'd love it even more if you’re bilingual in English and French, however this isn't a requirement.
