**Job Type:**Maternity Leave Contract (12 months)
Position Summary
The Accounts Receivable Associate is responsible for providing day-to-day processing of payments received and reconciling to accounts.
Specific Accountabilities
- Post journal entries and reconcile accounts
- Provide statements to clients
- Record all payments and apply to outstanding invoices
- Review and record all the branch transactions by credit card in timely manner
- Copy and scan documents, help with Portal billing
- Provide general administrative support to AR team
- Research unapplied cash
- Prompt identification of payment discrepancies and escalation to AR representatives
- Account set-up in Mini-trac
Qualifications
Education & Work Experience
- High school graduation diploma (post-secondary education preferred)
- 2+ years of Cash Application/Credit/Accounts Receivable experience
Competencies and Skills
- Excellent communication, relationship-building and problem-solving skills
- PC skills: MS Office (Excel/Word/MS Outlook) and ability to learn ELC accounting systems
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform a large volume of work
