About the role
We are looking for an Inventory Control Coordinator who excels at organizing, prioritizing work, and working independently with minimal supervision. We want someone who has a take charge attitude and will apply their knowledge to help streamline processes and have operations run smoothly. You would be the go-to for multiple key personnel to keep projects moving ahead.
What you will be doing:
- Performing inventory control duties including monitoring tools, equipment and material distribution to electricians.
- Picking up and delivering materials and equipment to job sites as requested.
- Ordering (purchasing), receiving and posting materials/parts to work orders and inventory system.
- Entering new parts into our systems, ensuring accurate costs and descriptions.
- Regularly following up on expected deliveries (ETA’s) and communicating this information to the appropriate foreman.
- Ensuring program discounts from manufacturers or distributors are properly applied to any orders.
- Ensuring pricing changes or adjustments are communicated to management as appropriate.
- Managing tools, including maintaining the sign-in/out records, repairs, etc.
- Maintaining and organizing the physical warehouse inventory (and workspace).
- Monitoring product warranties and inventory levels to enable timely installations and emergency service.
- Evaluating suppliers based on price, quality and delivery
- Operating a forklift to load/unload/store product
- Maintain and review records of items bought, costs, deliveries, product performance and inventories.
- Analyze inventory reports and prepare reconciliations.
- Provide backup administrative duties as needed, including answering telephones for warehouse shipments.
- Provide ways for continuous improvement.
- Other duties as assigned by The Company.
What we would like you to bring to the table:
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills are essential
- Previous inventory experience mandatory
- Post-secondary education in a relevant field is considered an asset
- Valid Driver's license
- Willingness to travel to sites
- Previous forklift experience or willingness to learn
- Ability to lift 70lb multiple times per day
