Description Job Title Technical Analyst - Disability claims (12 months contract)

As a Technical Analyst - Disability claims, you will play a key role in assessing new disability claims by gathering and analyzing medical and non-medical information. You will ensure timely and accurate processing of claims, communicate decisions to clients, and manage benefit payments in accordance with QPAY criteria. What you’ll accomplish with us As a Technical Analyst – Disability Claims, you’ll be at the core of our mission.
Here are the main responsibilities:
- Collect relevant medical and non-medical information by phone to support claim analysis.
- Evaluate new disability claims for eligibility, verify documentation, and follow up on missing information.
- Communicate claim decisions to clients via phone and written correspondence.
- Process and pay disability benefits in accordance with QPAY guidelines.
- Maintain accurate records and update client files using internal systems (e.g., Tide).

We’re looking for someone who:
- Is known for their strong ability to assess claims quickly using QPAY criteria.
- Stands out for their proficiency in interpreting contracts, clauses, and procedural documentation.
- Demonstrates strong and solid understanding of QuickPay criteria and exclusions (e.g., confirmed diagnosis, ongoing treatment).
- Is recognized for their skilled in processing payments and updating internal systems.
- Competent in drafting clear and professional letters and emails.
- Has 2-5 years of experience in administrative or finance domain.
- Advanced level of English and French, as the position involves participating in interviews with insurers in English and French, responding to emails, and drafting documentation in English and French with English- and French-speaking internal partners on a daily basis.

The typical hiring range for this position is between 54,000 CAD and 60,000 CAD per year; the base salary offered may vary depending on knowledge, skills, years of experience, and internal equity related to the role.
