About The Role As a Quality Assurance Inspector, you will interpret customer orders, product specifications, drawings, and applicable codes and standards to ensure the products meet the specified requirements.
You will report to the QA Manager and work at our facility located in Peterborough.
Main Responsibilities
- Interpret customer orders, product specifications, drawings, and applicable codes and standards to ensure the products will meet the specified requirements.
- Conduct quality surveillance activities and prepare detailed reports.
- Control release and distribution of project-specific documentation to shop.
- Receive incoming materials.
- Provide shop oversight, including witnessing NDE and testing, and verification of test reports.
- Work with multiple suppliers, customer representatives and regulatory authorities on issues related to quality and compliance.
- Perform final inspection (mostly visual) on manufactured parts and assemblies.
Qualifications
- 4 plus years' experience in similar role
- Post-secondary related education
- Knowledge of, and experience in application of quality standards for manufacturing
Computer literacy and proficiency in software packages (e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets))
- Interpret technical drawings.
- Technical or manufacturing experience / familiarity [knowledge of manufacturing procedures for shop fabrication (e.g. machining, welding, heat treatment)].
