Our Field Services has an opportunity for a Field Sales and Services Representative based in Nisku, AB.
We provide on-site support to our clients while using our products. Our products include integral joint tubing, threaded and coupled connections, premium, semi-premium, flush, semi-flush and API connections. This position provides hands on technical advice and expertise on OCTG pipe and connections, performance data and materials specifications to our customers. We examine our customers needs and provide them with innovative and technical solutions.

Job Description and Responsibilities
This position is primarily responsible for on-site support to our customers. Typical duties include:

Pre-job planning, including a review of technical requirements prior to starting work, collection of required supplies and rental equipment from our inventory and travelling to customers sites.

Prior to arriving on-site, preparing the required paperwork including safety and job plan checklists, and reviewing job data sheets.

On arrival, reviewing all job and safety materials with on-site Supervisor.

While on-site, our representatives are on the rig floor, providing hands-on support while the tubulars are running, including ensuring the torque specifications are set up properly.

Following the work each day, a daily activity log is complete, and invoicing is prepared and signed off.

Occasional shop work in our Nisku shop, including ringing and drilling couplings and inventory counts.
This position works a rotational schedule of 15 days on and 6 days off. Travel is required throughout Alberta and Saskatchewan to our customer’s sites.
The successful candidate must be located in Edmonton or the surrounding area.
General Requirements, Technical Requirements and Skills
- Prior industry experience is preferred.
- Able to communicate effectively with the customer and the internal Hunting team, and work with people in a harmonious way to accomplish the task assigned to this job.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to learn and become proficient with new software.
- Able to read and interpret documents, instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Able to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Able to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
- Must be able to recognize and be discreet with sensitive financial, and other business-related information.
Certifications, Licenses and Registrations
The following certifications, licenses or registrations are required for this position
- Must have a valid driver’s license and record that conforms to company’s insurance policies.
- Forklift, First Aid, H2S, WHMIS and other certifications are required, and training will be provided through the course of employment.
Work Authorization and Background Checks:
- Candidates are required to be authorized to work in Canada.
- This is a Safety Sensitive position, requiring compliance with the Canadian Model for Providing a Safe Workplace, Drug and Alcohol Policy.
- Employment is subject to background checks appropriate to the position, including Driver’s Abstract, Medical and Drug and Alcohol testing.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is
- required to stand, reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear
- occasionally required to walk; sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. (These vision requirements relate to obtaining a valid driver’s license and recognizing color coded labels)
The position will be based at the Nisku facility, however the majority of working time will be spent at customer’s locations. While performing the duties of this job:
- The employee works near moving mechanical parts and in outside weather conditions.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud and proper hearing protection must be worn.
