- Superviser les activités de surveillance, de vérification et de matière de conformité propres aux opérations du Québec. Ces activités comprennent, mais ne sont pas limitées à, l'évaluation des dossiers des clients, l'évaluation des activités externes, la vérification des succursales d'assurance et la vérification des contrôles internes.

Qualifications

- Solide connaissance des cadres réglementaires québécois (par exemple, AMF) et de la législation canadienne sur la confidentialité (LPRPDE, Loi 25 du Québec)
- Expérience en leadership et en gestion d'équipe
- Excellentes aptitudes à la communication en français et en anglais (écrites et parlées)
- À l'aise dans les relations avec les représentants agréés en assurance et en fonds communs de placement et les responsables sur le terrain, et capable d'exercer une influence positive sur eux
- Compétences analytiques, organisationnelles et interpersonnelles solides

Responsibilities
- Lead the Québec compliance team in overseeing regulatory compliance for WFGIAC’s insurance operations.
- Manage and enhance the Privacy Program for WFG Canada, ensuring compliance with PIPEDA and applicable provincial privacy laws.
- Support the Québec Responsible Officer, WFGIAC Chief Compliance Officer, and WFGS Chief Compliance Officer in liaising with Quebec regulators, including the Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF), as well as applicable privacy regulators across Canada.
- Supervise, coach, and develop a team of compliance professionals, fostering a high-performance and collaborative culture.
- Oversee compliance monitoring, testing, and reporting activities specific to Québec operations. The activities include, but are not limited to, client file assessment, outside activity assessment, insurance branch audit, and internal control testing.
- Develop and deliver compliance training programs in French and English for insurance representatives and internal staff. Privacy training programs will be for all of Canada.
- Provide guidance and support to field representatives on regulatory and privacy matters.
- Champion Québec compliance program improvements by leveraging data analytics and process optimization.
- Monitor regulatory developments in Québec, and privacy regulatory changes across Canada, assessing their impact and implementing necessary changes.
- Collaborate with Legal, Risk, Operations, and other internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective risk mitigation.
- Prepare reports and updates for senior leadership and regulatory bodies as required.
- Participate in ad-hoc projects as required.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in business or finance, or equivalent experience in the financial services industry
- Eight years of experience in compliance, privacy, or regulatory affairs within the financial services or insurance industry
- Strong knowledge of Québec regulatory frameworks (e.g., AMF) and Canadian privacy legislation (PIPEDA, QC Law 25)
- Leadership and team management experience
- Excellent communication skills in both French and English (written and verbal)
- Comfortable interacting with and positively influencing licensed insurance and mutual fund representatives and field leaders
- Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Bilingual - Fluent (oral and written) in French and English to complete required job duties and communicate daily/frequently with a diverse agent and employee base, as well as the WFGIA management team, located in in Ontario and throughout the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in an advisor facing compliance or related role
- HLLQP/Insurance of Persons license
