About the role
This individual will be responsible for the sourcing and procurement of raw materials and MRO.
Responsibilities: Purchase materials with specified cost, quality and delivery requirements Build/maintain relationships with suppliers Negotiate with suppliers for the best price, quantities and delivery timeline Prepare cost-reduction saving plans Analyze market trends to assist with buying decisions Review the MRP report to ensure timelines Perform day-to-day purchasing activities Sourcing material and components Conducts market research on cost-competitive suppliers Prepares weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports on market trends
Qualifications: 2+ years of MRO & raw material sourcing and purchasing is required Previous MRP experience is an asset Professional Certification is desired Excellent project management skills Strong technical knowledge and experience Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
