About the role
Adecco is currently recruiting for a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic for a full-time, permanent position located in Richmond, BC .
In this role, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on semi-trucks, trailers, and other heavy-duty equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations. The ideal candidate is a skilled mechanic with strong diagnostic abilities and a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Location: Richmond, BC
- Type of Contract: Permanent | Full-time
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 6:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. (40 hours/week, with occasional weekends and on-call availability)
- Pay Rate: $45-$46/hour (open to negotiation)

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general maintenance and repairs on semi-trucks, trailers, and heavy-duty machinery
- Conduct inspections and diagnostic tests to identify mechanical issues
- Troubleshoot and repair engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems
- Complete work orders and maintain accurate maintenance records
- Ensure all work meets safety and operational standards
- Support other heavy-duty mechanics with machinery repairs when required
Profile Sought:
- Must be eligible to work and reside within Canada
- Proven experience as a heavy vehicle or commercial vehicle mechanic
- Strong knowledge of semi-truck and trailer systems
- Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Valid driver's license required
- Commercial Vehicle Inspector ticket
- Good communication and basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
