Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor and manage equipment to ensure quality products and minimal unplanned downtime
• Perform machinery setup and operation based on the training and documentation provided
• Load and unload material from machinery
• Program parts using CNC software
• Program foam recipes using foam injector and press software
• Report completed manufacturing orders and any non-conforming products in the MRP system
• Maintain proper housekeeping of work area
• Perform various maintenance requirements to both the equipment and the tools such as calibration, specialized cleaning and minor repairs
• Perform foam tank changeovers and empty tank return process
• Report issues to Team Lead and troubleshoot machine issues as they arise
• Assume other related tasks at the request of the Department Manager, Supervisor or Team Lead

Skills, Education, and/or Experience

The following are education and experience criteria used to evaluate the suitability of the XX Profile or candidates for the position:

• Experience operating hydraulic or servo-electric press brakes is a definite asset
• The ideal candidate must be willing to rotate between different machines (ie. Brake Press, Foam Injection Press), and willing to learn more advanced equipment like our Shear/Punch Combi Press
• Must have good mechanical skills
• Able to use computers proficiently
• Possess a positive attitude
• Able to be coached and must have a willingness to learn
• Communicate clearly and effectively with others
• Able to work proficiently in a team-oriented setting, as well as independently
• Able to read and understand documentation (maintenance manuals, drawings etc.) supplied to them with minimal additional instructions from a Team Lead, and complete the work as described
• Able to conduct necessary measurement and quality checks as directed
• Punctuality and good attendance are a must
• Able to work overtime as needed

Job Conditions

Physical Demands:

• Light physical effort – able to lift up to 20lbs at times.
• Sitting, lifting, squatting, pushing, or reaching for intermittent or extended periods.

Work Environment:

• Factory, Warehouse, Distribution Center, Office.
• May be exposed to loud, repetitive sounds from machinery or equipment.
• May use chemicals or other in accordance with MSDS.
• May operate machinery in close proximity or with objects exposed to eyes or face.
