- Deep experience with one or more of the major clouds

- Experience with WireGuard and/or Tailscale

What the job involves
- Coder is looking for a Staff Software Engineer with a front-end specialization who is excited about shaping the future of cloud-based, AI-powered development
- At Coder, you will drive the development of our products through core technology advancements, enterprise features, and developer tooling
- Collaborate with a talented team to design and develop the future of cloud-based developer environments using TypeScript, React, and a modern tech stack. Your work will shape the tools that thousands of developers rely on every day to write, test, and ship code faster
- Leverage tools like Vite, Jest, and Storybook to develop and showcase UI components in isolation. You'll play a key role in building scalable, performant, and accessible user interfaces
- Use MUI/Material-UI and Figma to translate product and design requirements into elegant, user-centric interfaces that balance aesthetics and functionality. Your attention to detail will help ensure every interaction feels smooth and intentional
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement through code reviews, design discussions, and close collaboration across engineering, product, and design teams. Expect to move fast, learn constantly, and ship impactful features
- Be responsible for the overall architecture and tooling around Coder’s frontend
