Job Responsibilities:
We are currently seeking a contract Pharmacy Manager to join our team for approximately 15-months!
Location – 7111A 6th Street SE. Calgary, AB
POSITION SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Regional Manager Western Canada, the Pharmacy Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management and coordination of the IV sterile compounding pharmacy at the Calgary site.
This role ensures that standards of practice and legislated, corporate, and departmental requirements are met. The role will also ensure that quality of service delivery is optimized.
The Pharmacy Manager must have excellent problem-solving skills as is frequently called upon to resolve a multitude of inter-departmental issues.
70% of duties are performed according to established policy and procedure. 30% of duties require independent thinking and individual initiative.
Qualifications:

Pharmacy Degree (BScPhm or PharmD)
-
Licensed pharmacist in good standing with the Alberta College of Pharmacy
-
Three years’ pharmacy practice experience with management experience preferred
-
Previous experience in IV sterile compounding (hospital or community) and/or pharmaceutical GMP environment is an asset
Skills:
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to multi-task and handle fluctuating workloads
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills
- Excellent continuous improvement skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and positive leadership qualities
- Ability to handle multiple demands made simultaneously under short time constraints.
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to collaborate with all levels both inside and outside the organization
- Proven ability to adhere to standards & procedures and maintain confidentiality
