What is the opportunity?
Responsible for collaborating with cross-functional risk, technology and business teams to identify, assess, and mitigate technology risk profiles across the Wealth Management portfolio. Key responsibilities include monitoring and reporting on risk, technology, and security compliance metrics, as well as leading initiatives to promote risk, security, and compliance awareness within Wealth Management. The incumbent will work closely with risk and technology teams and the broader Technology and Operations (T&O) organization to ensure Business Managed Applications within the WM portfolio adhere to established compliance thresholds and maintain a strong security posture.
What will you do?
- Join a business-oriented IT Risk team, with a mandate focused on Business Managed Applications (BMAs) and WM’s global adherence to enterprise policies and standards, including representing WM at 1LoD and 2LoD governance forums, and acting as a point of contact for GRM and Compliance, various Risk Centers of Governance (CoG) and IT Risk teams.
- Engage WM business stakeholders to raise awareness of requirements for BMA compliance and drive remediation efforts and on-going sustainment to ensure continued compliance of BMA portfolio.
- Support business application owners and application custodians through gap identification and requirements assessment, and guide business on required remediation activities, as well as ensure ongoing compliance of BMAs
- Support analysis, preparation and presentation of WM IT Risk BMA governance and portfolio reporting, as well as tracking issue management and resolution, including support of regulatory reviews, examinations, and issue resolution
- Develop & maintain strong relationships with business stakeholders and application custodians to ensure understanding of needs and priorities while keeping them informed on changes to policy and standard, emerging risks and enterprise initiatives.
- Work with project teams and other resources to communicate WM Business Risk requirements and priorities in the development and deployment of solutions, and provide guidance on policy and compliance requirements, including the provision of guidance and advice to various stakeholders within Wealth Management
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- 5+ years’ combined experience working with business and technology stakeholders in Risk Management, preferably technology or third-party domains
- Solid understanding of IT Risk, Governance and Controls, and change management disciplines
- Ability to independently organize and manage own work, comfortable multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrate exceptional judgment and integrity with the ability to think strategically and give practical advice, considering the regulatory and business objectives
- Ability to manage through influence at all levels, especially at senior levels, and demonstrate strong collaboration skills across the organization
- Critical thinking, analytical and research skills with the ability to rapidly gain understanding of new technologies
- Strong communication and relationship management skills with the ability to present information effectively, able to inspire trust and quickly build credibility with diverse stakeholders
- Ability to establish strategic approach for long term sustainable solutions, strong problem-solving skills with a results-oriented mindset
Nice-to-have
