Overall Role Summary As the Proposal Writer and Communications Specialist, you will operate as a highly autonomous, self-driven business development expert overseeing the complete proposal lifecycle, corporate pipeline tracking, and internal operational workflows. Working independently yet collaboratively across P1 Consulting, P3, P3 US, and P1 Technical Services, you will act as the central operational hub for business development. This high-impact opportunity is tailor-made for an exceptionally organized self-starter who thrives with independence. Because of our dynamic pace, success in this role requires a high degree of adaptability, proactive communication, and flexibility to align with deadlines. You will drive both large and small scale pursuits, maintain rigorous administrative compliance, manage marketing assets including drafting narratives and visuals for presentations, update web pages, and keep cross-functional team members aligned under tight, overlapping procurement deadlines.
Responsibilities
Proposal Management: Lead the end-to-end proposal lifecycle, from opportunity identification and Go/No-Go decisions to drafting, budgeting, and final submission delivery, including continuous improvement of proposal and presentation materials. Business Development & Pipeline Operations: Maintain and track active opportunity pipelines, manage internal leads, and coordinate regularly with business line leads to drive new growth. Communications: Prepare and refine presentation materials, undertake outreach initiatives to identify potential business opportunities and support the development of other communications material. Post-Award & Project Governance: Manage the implementation of successful pursuits, project setup, documentation archiving, and debrief processes. Vendor & Compliance Administration: Oversee Standing Offers, certifications, insurance coordination, and regulatory corporate reporting. Digital Asset & Website Maintenance: Update corporate websites, maintain marketing repositories, and manage team profiles, resumes, and organizational templates.
Requirements
Experience: knowledge of and interest to learn about the Canadian infrastructure (planning, construction and operational) landscape, energy projects or a related field would be an asset. Education: Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience. Technical Literacy: Broad understanding the advisory sector, government procurement, and content management. Keen interest in developing knowledge in these fields. Core Competencies: Highly autonomous, self-driven, and detail-oriented with exceptional time-management skills; proven ability to independently manage multiple complex priorities, shift gears seamlessly, and thrive under strict deadline pressure. Adaptability & Independence: Adaptable working style, comfortable operating with minimal oversight, taking full ownership of processes, and navigating fluid scheduling needs to accommodate executive review cycles. Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to write complex information clearly to internal stakeholders and external clients. Logistics: Ability to obtain necessary security clearances in Canada. Assets: Proficiency in French or specialized accreditations are beneficial but not mandatory. Who Are We?
