#Food and Beverage Server

###This is a term position ending November 15, 2026.

##The Opportunity

As part of our award-winning hospitality services, Banff Centre features a number of dining options for guests and program participants. The Food & Beverage department is looking for friendly, team-oriented Servers to assist in the smooth and efficient operations of services at the Maclab Bistro, special functions, small outlets and Vistas dining room.

##Specific Accountabilities

  • Positively engage our guests
  • Serve beverages
  • Set tables, stock bus stations and any pre-banquet set-up required
  • Clear tables, tear down banquet stations, tidy up spaces
  • Take payment where applicable

##Qualification and Educational Requirements

  • Previous hospitality experience as a food-service attendant or in a related customer-service focused area
  • Completion of Alberta ProServe certification
  • Able to work under minimal supervision while providing excellent customer service
  • Enjoys interacting with a diverse group of people (artists, leadership participants, conference delegates, etc.)
  • Budgets and organizes their time proactively to provide consistent and enjoyable service
  • Able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds

##Special Requirements

  • Due to the nature of the job, this position requires the candidate to be available to work a flexible, irregular schedule and weekends
  • Due to liquor license requirements, only candidates 18 years and older can be considered for this position

##Employment Terms & Benefits

  • In accordance with CUPE 4318, this is a unionized, hourly support staff position, subject to a 500-hour probationary period.
  • This position pays $15.84 per hour working up to 37.5 hours per week on a rotating schedule.
