SCHEDULE: 33.00 hours per week, DAY; TUESDAY to FRIDAY
WORK MODE: In-person
WORK LOCATION: Administration of Buildings, Parks and Public Spaces, 2550 INDUSTRIAL BLVD Laval H7S 2G7
The challenges that await you
You will perform various technical tasks involving research and surveys necessary for the design and execution of development, maintenance, construction, modification, or renovation work in municipal buildings or on municipal land. You will prepare reports, development proposals, construction plans, cost estimates, and construction or maintenance quotes, and oversee the work on site while ensuring coordination among stakeholders and adherence to established budgets. You will participate in the development and execution of projects in collaboration with consulting firms or internal professionals.
More specifically:
- You will inspect buildings and land to identify renovation and/or modification opportunities, assess their compliance with current standards and building codes, and write the required inspection reports;
- You will plan and coordinate, in collaboration with various Services and utility companies, the work necessary to carry out projects or interventions;
- You will represent the City to consultants, contractors, and suppliers in the execution of projects;
- You will collaborate with representatives from other divisions, City Services, and/or external organizations to obtain or exchange any relevant information related to your functions;
- You will write various reports and correspondence related to your activities.
The ideal profile for us
- Hold a college diploma (DEC) in architecture;
- Thirty (30) months of relevant experience in the role, particularly in managing architectural projects;
- Relevant experience in signage planning for medium to large buildings will be considered an asset, as you will provide specific technical support to the City's signage and display department in planning and executing work related to the installation of new municipal signage;
- Possess a Health and Safety on Construction Sites card (ASP);
- Hold a valid class 5 driver's license and have a vehicle.
