The Project Manager, National Contracts & Facilities ensures reliable and consistent facilities operations across a national retail network. This role manages construction and maintenance projects, national service contracts, and multi‑store rollouts while balancing cost, compliance, timelines, and service standards across diverse regions. PMs execute programs under the strategic leadership of the Senior Manager.

Main responsibilities

· The Project Manager leads national programs covering maintenance, repairs, compliance work, and capital upgrades, and standardizes preventive maintenance, workflows, SLAs, and asset management. They oversee major national service contracts, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, security, waste, and life safety, managing RFPs, vendor selection, negotiations, performance reviews, and contract compliance.

· The role delivers varying scale retail projects such as capital refreshes, new builds, fixture and signage programs, equipment replacements, lighting upgrades, and technology deployments. This includes coordinating drawings and specifications with consultants, landlords, trades, and store teams, and ensuring all projects meet scope, budget, and schedule requirements.

· The Project Manager tracks project financials and national facilities budgets, validating invoices, forecasting costs, managing variances, and preparing executive‑level reports. They support sustainability initiatives, ensure compliance with building codes, accessibility standards, environmental regulations, and life‑safety requirements, and assist with audits and inspections.

Qualifications

· The ideal candidate holds post‑secondary education in engineering, architecture, construction, facilities, or a related field, with 3- 5+ years of project or facilities management experience.

· Strong cross‑functional collaboration is essential, partnering with Store Operations, Construction, Real Estate, IT, Loss Prevention, Merchandising, Procurement, Finance, and Health & Safety.

· They bring strong communication skills in English and French, the ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings and work with consultants and trades, and the capacity to manage multiple priorities in fast‑paced environments.

· Professional designations such as PMP, LEED, or BOMI (RPA/FMA), along with strong financial and vendor‑management skills, are considered assets.

· The role requires initiative, sound judgment, and a commitment to delivering high‑quality results across a national retail portfolio, including extensive travel nationally, as required.
