Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic

Location: Greater Toronto Area, Ontario

Salary Range: Up to $28.85 per hour.

Status: Full Time

About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated and responsible Mechanic to join our team specializing in floor cleaning equipment. The ideal candidate is someone who has a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn new skills. This role involves inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining a variety of commercial and industrial janitorial cleaning machines to ensure they operate efficiently and safely at the warehouse or at client sites.

What You Will Do:

  • Work closely with the Warehouse and Procurement Teams
  • Maintain accurate service and repair records.
  • Responsible for troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance of various mechanical & electrical issues on janitorial cleaning equipment such as Walk Behind/Ride On Auto Scrubbers, Propane/Electric Burnishers, Industrial Sweepers, Wet/Dry Vacuums, Carpet Extractors, Swing Machines, Golf Carts, etc.
  • Keep work area organized, safe, and clean.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and team members to ensure timely equipment turnaround.
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs on an regular basis.
  • Regular travel between company sites and client locations is required; a valid Ontario Class G driver’s license and access to reliable transportation are required.
  • Read and interpret parts manuals to identify correct part numbers.
  • Accurately report repair activities, parts used, and causes of failure in the online application.
  • Maintain spare parts inventory and prepare detailed reports on usage and stock levels.
  • Use Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook) for documentation and reporting.

What You Bring:

  • At least 2 years experience with repairing/troubleshooting a wide variety of cleaning equipment.
  • Ability to adapt to new tasks, machines, and technologies.
  • A willingness to learn and keen attention to detail.
  • Positive, team-oriented attitude with a strong sense of responsibility.
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs on an regular basis.
  • Regular travel between company sites and client locations is required; a valid Ontario Class G driver’s license and access to reliable transportation are required.
  • A recent driving record is required.
  • The ability to communicate necessary fixes and apply training to repair equipment.

Work Environment:
This is a full-time position with a standard work schedule. Occasional flexibility in scheduling may be required to meet operational or training needs. Supportive work environment that values learning and initiative.
