About the role

Essential Functions of the Job

Prioritizes member/customer service, ensuring prompt, efficient and friendly

customer service.

Ensure stock is received, priced and coded correctly as directed by management.

Maintains vista receiving book, claims, sales, transfers and cutoff reports.

Works in consultation with Facility Manager to complete cutoff.

Under the direction from the Facility Manager and Ag Team, ensure adequate

supplies support divisional sales goals.

Reports on area sales and product inventories on a bi-weekly, or as directed

basis to Facility Manger and Ag Team.  Included in this reporting will be inventory levels relative to sales forecasts.

Maintains historical order information. 

Organizes and optimizes freight.

With direction of Facility Manager, Ag Division Manager, and Sales Team ensure

there is adequate supplies ordered.

Working in conjunction with the Facility Manager and Ag Team, ensures focus is

maintained on maximizing supplier programs.

Working in conjunction with the Facility Manager and Ag Team, develops, tracks, and maintains a model that effectively and accurately forecasts ‘blackbox’ monies.

Understands and communicates transportation options such that cost minimization

relation to transportation is balanced against stock out costs.

Ensure cross training occurs on all jobs duties/tasks.

Assist the CSR, Facility Assistant, and Ag Sales Team as required.

Operate Forklift as required.

Operation of Front Till as required.

Adheres to all co-operative policies and procedures; including but not limited

to health and safety.

Assists with invoicing as times permits.

Other duties as required.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA’s)

Excellent customer service skills

Excellent communication skills, both verbal, written and telephone

Ability to provide meaningful contributions in a team environment.

Ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple tasks.

Detail and accuracy driven

Ability to work effectively with other staff, supervisors and customers

 

Education and Experience

Grade 12 or equivalent

Office Administration/Accounting Certificate, Ag Certificate/Diploma or a

combination of education/experience.

Prior retail experience in an agricultural environment would be considered an

asset

Previous accounting/customer service background would be considered an asset

Able to obtain Forklift Certification

Valid Class 5 Driver’s license
