Job Description Job Summary: The Business Analyst will review, analyze and evaluate business systems and user needs. The incumbent will document requirements, define scope and objectives, and will formulate systems to parallel overall business strategies. This role is primarily focused on managing and supporting enhancements and upgrades to the core financial processes and related integrations within the ERP at PetValu.

Job Specifications

  • Requirements Analysis, evaluate business processes, anticipate requirements, uncover areas for improvement, develop and implement solutions.
  • Document and communicate the results of your analysis.
  • Coordinate and facilitate ongoing reviews of business processes ensuring security and compliance and developing optimization strategies.
  • Conduct meetings and presentations to effectively communicate findings and plans to cross-functional team members and management.
  • Stay up to date on the latest process and IT advancements to automate and modernize systems.
  • Monitor project progress by tracking activity; resolving problems; publishing progress reports; recommending actions
  • Follow and align processes with the System Development Lifecycle processes, policies and standards.
  • Prepare technical reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends
  • Conduct and coordinate financial, product, market, operational and related research to support strategic and business planning within the various departments and programs of the client group
  • Understand and communicate the financial and operational impact of any changes
  • Suggest changes to senior management using analytics to support your recommendations. Actively participate in the implementation of approved changes
  • Conduct insightful, ad-hoc analyses to investigate ongoing or one-time operational issues
  • Facilitate compliance and security activities as they pertain to business processes and policy enforcement.
  • Work closely with the Finance and AP team to understand pain points and identify solutions that will help streamline their processes and add value to their operations

Qualifications Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferably in any Information Technologies (IT) discipline, but IT Management Information Systems or Computer Systems Analyst discipline is most preferred
  • 4+ years' of experience in the field is preferred
  • Experience as an analyst with a concentration in finance-related processes within an ERP is required.
  • Experience with workflow collaboration tools such as: Jira, Confluence, or others that have the same functionality.

  • Ability to impact operations and effect change without being confrontational
  • Detail oriented, analytical and inquisitive
  • Ability to work independently and with others
  • Extremely organized with strong time-management skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Strong knowledge and experience working with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics is preferred. Experience in successful ERP implementations is a plus.
  • Understanding of how Integrations work – APIs, ETL process with ability to read XML and JSON data formats
  • Capable of handling and managing multiple tasks and projects of competing priority at the same time
  • High proficient in standard end-user computing tools such as Google Applications, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Visio, and others
  • Excel “Power User” in data analysis and summarization of detailed data
  • Basic knowledge of SQL and Database management is a bonus
