Posting: 2026-130: Probationary Part-Time System Monitor/Community Use Liaison (0.714 FTE) Various Locations

We are seeking a highly organized, community-minded individual to join our team as a System Monitor/Community Use Liaison . This important role supports the effective and safe use of school facilities by external community groups, organizations, and individuals outside of regular school hours.

As the first point of contact for community users, the Liaison plays a key role in fostering positive relationships, ensuring adherence to policies, and supporting smooth, efficient operations during after-hours facility use.

  • Duties to commence as soon as possible
  • Approximately 25 hours per week
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and occasional weekends as required by community use schedules

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome users, provide facility orientation, and review safety protocols.
  • Manage secure access for approved users.
  • Inspect spaces before and after use; ensure readiness and cleanliness.
  • Set up and take down requested equipment.
  • Monitor activities, assist with issues, and uphold board policies.
  • Respond to emergencies and provide First Aid/CPR when needed.
  • Report incidents, safety concerns, or damages.
  • Gather and analyze user feedback to improve community use programs.

Qualifications:

  • OSSD or equivalent.

  • Strong organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.

  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and in a team.

  • Knowledge of public facility health and safety regulations.

  • First Aid & CPR certified (or willing to obtain).

  • Comfortable with digital tools (e.g., XPlore or similar).

  • Experience in community engagement, customer service, or facility operations is an asset.
