Job Overview

The Roofing Service Sales Representative is responsible for driving service sales by developing new business opportunities, partnering with service teams, and fostering long-term client relationships. This role requires a strong understanding of roofing systems, the ability to assess and address client needs quickly, and the initiative to maximize sales opportunities. The ideal candidate is motivated to upsell during service calls, add value for clients, and actively expand the company’s customer base.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Business Development & Lead Generation: Identify and pursue new sales opportunities by joining service crews on-site, explaining services to clients, and spotting upselling potential. Actively engage new leads through prompt follow-up, networking, and targeted prospecting.
  • Technical Expertise: Offer informed recommendations and solutions tailored to client needs, addressing roofing concerns with urgency and precision.
  • Client Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong client partnerships, becoming a trusted advisor for roofing solutions through reliable communication and service.
  • Sales Pipeline Oversight: Track, follow up, and convert leads into sales using a CRM system to organize interactions, manage accounts, and sustain a strong sales funnel.
  • Proposals & Reporting: Develop detailed proposals, reports, and recommendations based on service findings and completed work.
  • Team Collaboration: Partner with project managers, estimators, and other departments to ensure smooth project execution and high client satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of roofing sales experience with strong knowledge of TPO and commercial roofing systems.
  • Proven sales drive with the ability to negotiate, persuade, and close deals effectively.
  • Customer-focused approach, capable of addressing urgent needs with practical solutions.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for both clients and internal teams.
  • Highly organized, able to manage multiple accounts and opportunities simultaneously.

Preferred

  • Experience in roofing or construction, particularly with single-ply roofing systems.
  • Familiarity with CRM and sales management tools.
