Medical Director- Muskoka Animal Hospital! Salary: $150,000 - $180,000 CAD per year depending on experience We’re looking for a motivated individual to help lead our team and support the growth of our hospital! The primary responsibilities of the Medical Director are to support and develop a high performing team and hospital, which includes setting the standard of medical care at the hospital and providing support and guidance to the manager and team to ensure the success of the hospital. The Medical Director will at times provide professional veterinary services in accordance with the policies of the Practice and the highest standards of the veterinary profession.

Responsibilities Leadership and Development:
- Cast a vision for the clinic's management team.
- Work closely with veterinarians to meet clinical and personal goals.
- Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and best practices.
- Address client concerns and complaints with the leadership team.
Monitoring And Feedback
- Participate in discussions about clinic and staff performance.
- Facilitate doctor meetings and prepare notes.
- Ensure clients are confident in the medical services received.
- Follow up with the veterinary team on protocol adherence.
Coaching And Mentoring
- Act as a role model for professionalism and medical care.
- Guide and evaluate veterinary staff to operate at the highest level.
- Establish a culture of collaboration for patient care.
- Provide mentorship and continuing education across VetStrategy clinics.
Hands-on Support
- Build community awareness and loyalty to the clinic.
- Innovate operational practices to promote clinic growth.
- Contribute to the selection of new hires.
- Authorize and oversee the use of narcotics.
Advancing Medical Care
- Oversee surgical and medical cases for all DVMs.
- Maintain and improve quality of medicine and surgical procedures.
- Establish and oversee medical protocols.
- Elevate the level of medicine through coaching and development.
