What You'll Be Doing

  • Manage the shipping processes for your region, ensuring that vendors are adequately notified of shipping needs, that shipments are packed neatly and efficiently and completely and labeled properly, and that drivers load correctly and are equipped with everything they need to complete delivery routes successfully.
  • Foster relationships with the Dispatch and Delivery Success teams and with our drivers.
  • Maintain a positive, professional work environment. You will be accountable for employee and contractor satisfaction metrics.
  • Directly manage a team of employee drivers and shipping staff, and will liaise with and performance manage a larger team of owner-operator contractor drivers. You will screen and onboard new driver candidates as needed.
  • Create and publish your team’s schedule each week and will be accountable for efficient staffing and labour metrics.
  • Continuously monitor delivery efficiency and facilitate communication between drivers and customers where needed.
  • Perform Performance Reviews for the team members under your supervision.
  • Monitor and report on delivery KPIs
  • Provide dispatch support when needed, to support the dispatch team. This will include relaying work orders, messages, and information from Customer Service to drivers.
  • Ensure that the company owned fleet of vehicles is well maintained and kept clean and tidy by employee drivers and that pre and post op checklists are adhered to.
  • Propose, develop, and implement new departmental processes to improve performance.

What We Are Looking For

The Logistics Supervisor is primarily responsible for overseeing delivery operations to ensure the timeliness, accuracy, and completeness of deliveries. They will be ultimately responsible for routing efficiency, adherence to dispatch and delivery policy, completeness and accuracy of shipping operations, and cross-functional communication regarding delivery issues. This person is a self-starter who takes ownership over their work environment. They are always looking for opportunities to improve the way we do things - whether through reporting, interpersonal leadership, or developing new processes. They stay calm in times of chaos and are able to work through challenges with an optimistic attitude. They are able to communicate clearly and professionally with a wide variety of people, and are able to manage interpersonal conflict in a respectful and service-oriented manner.

  • Strong organizational skills and exceptional time management skills, you have the ability to handle pressure and keep your cool in fast-paced situations.
  • Ability to adapt and formulate new plans as contingencies arise.
  • Self-motivated, with leadership skills and a high energy outlook. You’re comfortable being self-directed and take accountability for the work getting done. You know when and what to delegate.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a good balance between empathy and professional boundaries.
  • You can back up your resource requests with strategic or numeric reasoning.

What You Can Expect

Our customers can choose from 10 delicious meals per week, delivered to their door in sustainable packaging, for as low as $10.99 per serving.

All ingredients come pre-cut and pre-portioned, reducing many steps of the cooking process – making dinner time easier and quicker. Customers can also choose from a menu of Add-ons including quick ready-to-eat meals, salads, healthy snacks, juices and pantry staples.

We offer meal kit options for all diets and preferences - 50% of our weekly menu is vegetarian or vegan and customers can select gluten-aware and carb-conscious meals.
