Overview We are seeking a Production Planner Specialist to join our Factory Loading & Material Management team, and more specifically to our Planning and Scheduling group. In this role, you will be responsible for long and short-term scheduling activities and support all production planning activities. The incumbent will also be the main communication point to address and manage all production plans on the shop floor and coordinate the activities with some key internal and external suppliers.

Your Tasks:

  • Leading long‑term planning activities by assessing factory capacity and load, and critical parts to confirm delivery dates for new opportunities, quotes, and orders, while working closely with Sales and Engineering.
  • Leading all the activities regarding short-term scheduling activities synchronizing all the resources to achieve the planned production output levels.
  • Leading capacity assessments and bottleneck identification to implement resource‑alignment actions that support the achievement of operational performance targets.
  • Maintaining and communicating production plans for assigned lines, outsourced suppliers, and related areas, ensuring close monitoring of the production sequence and consistent follow‑up on daily and weekly performance to guarantee on‑time start and completion of all activities.
  • Supporting production to maintain the schedule and assisting the Factory Loading & Material Management team in all areas.
  • Performing retro feeding the master schedule with the relevant information (constraints, limitations, restrictions, and various production issues) to ensure that the Master Production Plan is calibrated and adjusted accordingly aiming on time delivery in medium/long-term horizon.
  • Supporting cross‑functional teams (Finance, Production, and Warehouse) in ensuring accurate control and tracking of raw material, work-in-progress and finished goods inventory.
  • Ensuring cross functional relationships and consistency of planning across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Coordinating all manufacturing planning tasks, assisting in scheduling work orders for the manufacturing department, and utilizing the ERP system.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in planning activities, production engineering, operational excellence, and continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment. Preferably with knowledge of coordination and logistic activities for synchronizing the different departments involved in a production process.
  • Negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent teamwork skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret technical data.
  • Ability to work on the shop floor of their time to ensure that the short-term plans are well communicated.
  • Preferable proficient in using SAP MM and/or PP modules.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Power Point).

We offer: In accordance with the Pay Transparency Act, we are committed to providing clear and accessible information about compensation for this role. The expected compensation range for this position is CAD $60000 - $100000 / Annually. Actual compensation within this range will be determined based on several job-related factors, including relevant education, depth and breadth of experience, professional certifications or license, specialized skills aligned with the role, and internal equity considerations.
