The Director Program Manager's primary role is to oversee strategic alignment with company's goals and to ensure consistent application of proper governance in delivery of high-quality projects/programs on schedule, within budget and scope while meeting or exceeding the expectations of all relevant stakeholders including customers.

Principle Duties

  • Strategic Program Management and oversight for a varying portfolio of TAI Life & Annuities Reinsurance product development, product installation and consulting projects. Managing four or fewer direct reports.
  • Under the direction of the Executive Director Project Management, the Director Program Manager is responsible for budgeting, planning, controlling and reporting of project/program status to senior TAI management, possibly across single large portfolio or multiple smaller programs/projects. Development of portfolio metrics and management dashboards, resource forecasting tools.
  • The Director Program Manager is also responsible for all resource management for assigned program(s). An important aspect of this role includes creating, managing, and coordinating the schedule, key deliverables and milestones within a set of programs or a portfolio, managing and facilitating communication with internal TAI staff, departments/divisions within TAI/RGA and other key stakeholders within the company.

Qualifications Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) in Information Technology, Finance or equivalent work experience - Required

Work Experience

  • Project management experience in software delivery from a Vendor to client or managing Vendor deliveries as a client -Required
  • 10+ years managing complex projects lasting 6-12 months or longer, and involving more than 5-10 team members - Required
  • 20+ Years of Project/Program Management work experience managing complex programs in technology /insurance/financial services - Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

  • Industry Certifications in Project Management, ITIL or Agile Frameworks - Required
  • PMP certification, CSM/PSM Agile certifications - Preferred

Skills And Abilities

  • Advanced knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle - Required
  • Advanced experience managing large cross-functional, international and/or global projects; demonstrated ability to lead virtual teams across diverse geographies and time zones - Required
  • Ability to develop, maintain and communicate an accurate project schedule across the program/portfolio, while balancing priorities and resource constraints - Required
  • Highly advanced people management skills, demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop associates; including the ability to delegate effectively, proven leadership skills - Required
  • Strategically minded individual with ability to see/maintain a multi-month’s view of programs/portfolio - Required
  • Exceptional risk management and persuasion skills, demonstrated ability to apply financial management principles to projects/programs under management - Required
  • An effective communicator, relationship builder comfortable with C-level stakeholder’s management both internally and with Clients - Required
  • Highly autonomous self-starter with proven ability to manage thru conflicting project demands and rapidly shifting landscape - Required
  • Applies significant knowledge of best practices in project management, advanced domain knowledge and proven ability to solve complex problems - Required
  • Advanced customer relationship and stakeholder management skills; demonstrated ability to resolve conflict and foster teamwork - Required

Compensation Range $113,050.00 - $141,300.00 Annual

Base pay varies depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and market location. In addition, RGA provides an annual bonus plan that includes all roles and some positions are eligible for participation in our long-term equity incentive plan. RGA also maintains a full range of health, retirement, and other employee benefits.
