We're a rapidly growing e-commerce company selling fitness equipment across Canada and the USA, and we're looking for an Outbound Sales Representative to join our sales team. You'll spend your days on the phone — cold calling, following up on leads, reconnecting with past customers, building quotes, and closing deals on the kind of gear you actually care about.
This is a highly independent role. We hire self-starters and then get out of their way — problem-solving, initiative, and ownership are the name of the game here.
We're looking for someone who knows fitness equipment — either you already know Bells of Steel, or you've got a solid handle on the kind of gear we sell — and who has spent real time in sales. Comfort on the phone isn't optional here; it's the job.
Let's be upfront about one thing: this is a salaried role with no commission. No quota-chasing for your paycheck, no leaderboard games, no pressure to push the wrong product on the wrong customer. Your pay is stable and predictable — so you can focus on doing right by the customer, which is exactly how we want it. What's in it for you Permanent, full-time salaried position — no commission A great working environment with little to no supervision — you have the autonomy to operate as you see fit Health spending account Every other Friday off during our non-peak season $1,000 toward your own Bells of Steel equipment What you'll be doing Outbound calling — cold calling, lead follow-up, and reactivating past customers Building sales quotes and walking customers through the right gear for their goals Closing deals and owning your pipeline end-to-end Fielding inbound inquiries that come your way and turning them into sales Keeping your records clean in our CRM so nothing slips through the cracks Lending a hand where it's needed — this is a small, hands-on team and we all pitch in The schedule & location This is a hybrid role based in the Calgary or Toronto area. You'll work mostly remotely, but we get together for team meetings and the occasional in-person workday, as well as support in the showroom as needed, so you'll need to be local. Core hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM MST — with every other Friday off. Some of the software you'll be using Freshsales (CRM) Slack Brightpearl Xero Who you are Experienced in sales and confident on the phone — this is the heart of the role A self-starter and problem solver who doesn't wait to be told what to do Passionate about fitness and knowledgeable about the gear (Bells of Steel product knowledge is a big plus) Organized enough to run your own pipeline without someone looking over your shoulder Genuinely excited about the values below — not just willing to nod along to them
