About the role

Description

Arkona Baptist church desires to inspire the gospel to people of all ages and be more visible and present in the community. Duties will include preaching regularly, providing leadership in cooperation with the Deacons, ongoing church ministries, visitation and outreach.

Overview of Church and Community

Arkona is a small town that has many retirees but also a growing number of young families. Arkona Baptist Church is a family of believers described by attendees and visitors as very open and friendly. The people have great trust and respect for one another and the community. We are developing a new vision for the church and have demonstrated openness to change, particularly over the past 5 years, which has led to some innovation and inspiration. We now have a fully accessible church building. We have leadership in the church that is quite active and our demographics are primarily older generations.

Qualifications And Education Requirements

A pastor currently recognized by CBOQ, or willing to seek accreditation with the CBOQ.

Role and Responsibilities

Preaching, ministry to all ages in the church, visiting, presence and outreach into the local community, working with the Deacons.

Preferred Skills

Seeking a pastor who is a good with children and youth, caring and authentic, trusting and open, and shares the gospel well. A visionary with a strong purpose for God who is organized and demonstrated discipleship to all ages.
