The Ministry of Community Safety, Provincial Protective Services (PPS) Branch has a challenging career opportunity for mature, motivated, responsible, team-oriented individual(s) in Prince Albert (1 position), with the Safer Communities and Neighbourhoods (SCAN) Investigation Unit. As an Investigator/Inspector, the position's primary role will be to conduct investigations and enforcement under the authority of The Safer Communities and Neighbourhoods Act.

As an Investigator/Inspector, you will conduct plain clothes investigations and enforcement activities in high-crime neighbourhoods and communities, targeting private and commercial properties being habitually used for illegal activities such as, but not limited to illegal growth, sale, consumption of a controlled substance; child sexual abuse; sex trade activities; organized crime and gang-related activities; the illegal sale of intoxicants; illegal sale, use, transfer, exchange of beverage alcohol; stolen property; graffiti; and nuisance properties.
Current and former members of a police agency are encouraged to apply.
To be eligible for this opportunity, the selected candidate will:
- Be required to undergo an enhanced security screening process and obtain and maintain a security clearance as a condition of employment.
- May be required to participate in a pre-employment psychological evaluation.
- The successful candidate must be eligible for appointment as a Special Constable pursuant to The Police Act, 1990 (SK).
- Obtain and maintain qualification in use of force and firearms consistent with the Saskatchewan Police College standard.
- Be willing to work flexible shifts with extended hours, including travel outside normal working hours, when required.
