About the role
We are seeking to fill a full-time permanent Apprentice Heavy Equipment Technician position for our Fleet Repair/Maintenance facility in Calgary. As part of our small and cohesive team, you will be responsible for diagnosing mechanical, air, hydraulic and electrical system defects and maintenance and repair to our fleet of company-owned trucks and trailers as well as those of our Owner Operators. We offer a safe and respectful work environment where you can apply your skills to a variety of technical tasks.
Position Requirements:
- We are looking for an Apprentice level 1 or 2 Heavy Equipment Technician with a willingness to complete (we support apprenticeship)
- Available to work a day shift (40 hours/week) Monday - Friday
- Experience repairing and servicing truck & trailing equipment is an asset
- Technician that has own tools and safety boots (see below – annual allowance!),
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Safety first approach to work & commitment to continuous learning
- Commitment to continuous learning
- Must have own vehicle as public transportation is not available
- **Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test (**as this position is safety sensitive it falls under Kleysen’s Controlled Substance Policy)
